EMPL-1

FORM EMPL-1 is the employment agreement. All persons (1) having a salaried position with the Company, (2) who expect to work more than 160 hours in any calendar quarter OR (3) who are given access to financial or client information must sign the agreement as a condition of employment.

WHY FORM EMPL-1?

It is a matter of integrity. Any person wanting to be part of the work and goals of the Company MUST agree not to steal from it or abuse the trust given to them by the Company and their co-workers.

The Company is a faith-based, integrity-based business. Anyone who is not able to make this commitment OR if you do not absolutely believe you will honor your word when agreeing to it really is not suited for work at the Company. They are asked to leave the premises and not seek further compensation from the Company. 

DOESN'T FORM EMPL-1 ALLOW THE COMPANY TO TAKE FROM ME?

In no way does FORM EMPL-1 allow the company to take from those that serve the Company. It is designed exclusively to protect the Company and its workers from abuse.

WHAT ABOUT MY INVENTIONS?

Any invention you have already made or you make on your own time without involving the Company or its assets remains yours. But, anything you develop on Company time or with Company assets belongs to the Company. Bottom line: if you're inventing on your own --- do it on your own.

CAN I HOLD OTHER JOBS?

Yes. You may hold other jobs while working for the Company, however, they can not interfere with the work you do for the Company. Skipping work, calling in sick, coming in late, unprepared or tired are not acceptable. If you are working more than 1-day a week for others, this should be reported to and approved by your supervisor. Approval will not be withheld so long as you are doing your Company assignments and meeting your responsibilities.

You may not work for a direct competitor of the Company unless you are given a waiver by your Group Director or the Company President. However, for full-time staff there would be little reason to consider approving this.

WHAT ABOUT THE NON-COMPETE?

A great deal of trust, time and expense will be placed in you if you hold a position that requires you to sign FORM EMPL-1. The Company expects you to dedicate yourself to its success and growth. When it is profitable, you will receive additional income and benefits from the profit sharing plan, so your work should always be for the Company's benefit. It is understood that opportunities arise and you may wish to leave the Company in the future. This is supported, however, you are agreeing not to work for a competitor or start a competing business within a 200-mile radius of Company facilities during employment and for a period of 2-years after terminating service.

We understand opportunities may arise with a Competitor that may be beneficial to you and your family. A waiver may be requested from the Company's Board of Directors in these cases. For person under Director level and who have not been entrusted with Company records, this will be looked on favorably but each decision is dependant upon the actual circumstances.

RETURNING COMPANY PROPERTY.

You are agreeing not to keep or use (aka: steal) Company property you are not authorized to use during or after you terminate service.  Nothing the Company allows you to use is "given" to you to keep. It all must be returned in good condition. You are responsible for paying for anything you use improperly or do not return. This is simple, straightforward and fair.

PROSECUTION OF THEFT.

It is Company policy to file criminal reports on all stolen property and to prosecute those who steal from the Company. If criminal prosecution is not possible, civil proceedings (lawsuit) will be filed to protect the Company and its assets (all of which are or are being paid for by efforts of our workers).
