EXPERIENCING IMAGINATION EMAIL/WEBMAIL ARE HOSTED ON SECURESERVER.NET TO MAXIMIZE UPTIME AND PERFORMANCE.

NOTICE: Experiencing Imagination email and webmail is for business use only. All communications using the leased or owned communication services of Experiencing Imagination, Inc. remains the property of the Company. All email is archived and may be reviewed at any time by any authorized representative of the Company.  

 

SOME EMAIL SERVICES ARE SHARED. PLEASE FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW EXACTLY IF YOU WISH YOUR EMAIL TO WORK.

SERVER SECURITY.

IP security has been removed and replaced with AUTH (authentication) security. You may send and receive email and webmail from any location using any internet connection. You MUST have your USERNAME@theeventline.com and PASSWORD for access. No more than 25 people (email addresses) may be copied on any single email.

You may not send more than 200 emails in a 24-hour period. Mass emailing is discouraged due to low impact and response. Should a mass email be necessary, contact webmaster@TheEventLine.com for options.

You may use the WEB interface to check & write email (http://webmail.theeventline.com. However, you MAY NOT leave email on the server, this will quickly use up your 10MB allowance. All business email is to be downloaded at least twice a week using an Email program (like Outlook or Outlook Express) and saved for 2 years on your local computer.

 

LARGE EMAILS.

Do not send emails with files totaling more than 5 MB every hour to any Experiencing Imagination mailbox unless that box is being automatically downloaded.

WEBMAIL.

Webmail is an extension of your email account. It uses the same mailbox. You can view email in your webmail portal from anywhere. However, once you download your email to your computer, it is no longer on the webserver and will not be observable.

To log into webmail visit: http://webmail.theeventline.com. Follow the onscreen instructions.

Your webmail account name is: first-name{dot}last-name@theeventline.com {all small case}. When you send EMAIL from the WEBMAIL system, it looks and acts like normal theeventline.com email. You may email anyone inside or outside the company.

 

SPAM FILTERING.

Spam filtering is active on all email accounts. Review your junk mail folder should you wish to review email considered spam. It you determine it is not spam, authorize the email address for delivery.

NOTE: WHEN 1ST SETTING UP YOUR ACCOUNT go to the webmail interface at http://email.earthtraces.com and logon to your email account. Go to SETTINGS -> SPAM SETTINGS. Set "Behavior" for "Mark subject with [SPAM]. Set "Strength" for "Low".

EMAIL SET-UP.

Outlook & Outlook Express:

Your account username is: first-name{dot}last-name@theeventline.com {all small case}

(THIS IS ALSO YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS)

YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED OF YOUR USERNAME and PASSWORD but it should be as follows:

Your customary first-name is used (i.e.: bob, not robert)

Your password is: first-initial, last-initial, last-4-numbers-of-SSN {all small case}

Note: Your initials will be the same as those used in the first-name & last-name used in your username (above).  YOU MAY CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD whenever you wish by logging onto the webmail interface can clicking SETTINGS -> PERSONAL SETTINGS.

The SMTP (Outbound) mail server name is: smtpout.secureserver.net

The POP3 (Inbound) mail server is: mail.theeventline.com

BOTH the inbound and outbound mail servers require authentication. Use your account username and password for each (both will be the same); NOTE: Most email programs are set for INBOUND mail - on the OUTBOUND mail you must make sure to check the box for "my server requires authentication" and then also check the settings box that says "use the same settings as my inbound mail" or just enter the same username & password AS INDICATED ABOVE.

 

 

Your email address is: first-name{dot}last-name@TheEventLine.com. You can request additional aliases (different email names that all go into your 1 mailbox) by writing webmaster@TheEventLine.com.

DO NOT CHECK "Log on using SECURE PASSWORD AUTHENTICATION".

EMAIL PORT: The SMTP port is 80; the POP3 port is 110. {These must be correctly set}

INFO SERVER.

 

Active event files, policy documents and other Corporate information is kept on our .info server (http://www.theeventline.info). You should setup a network place for fast access to these files. See: networkplace.shtml.

 

 

INFO SERVER COMPRESSION AND ENCRYPTION.

 

Info server files require the program STUFFIT. This is an enhanced zip, archive and encryption program and will allow automatic save of word and excel files in compressed and encrypted format, reduce file transfer times to the .info server by 50%+. or more. (Once installed, when you save your excel file you will see new line under "SAVE" that says "SAVE AS COMPRESSED FILE".) DOWNLOAD the 2 STUFFIT files by clicking these links: PROGRAM  (26.9MB) and CODE (1KB). To INSTALL, first REMOVE any zip program installed (Go to START-> SETTINGS-> CONTROL PANEL-> ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS and remove any zip program installed) Next follow the instructions in the CODE.TXT file downloaded above.
